Description
HistoBond® +S orange microscope slides are glass slides with adhesive surfaces designed for dependable attachment of tissue sections. Measuring approximately 76 × 26 × 1 mm, they have 90° ground edges and an orange writing field at one end to aid rapid specimen identification. The +S formulation retains all the characteristics of the HistoBond® + series while providing a higher charge density, which substantially strengthens the bond between slide and tissue section and supports secure handling through staining protocols. Suitable for use in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), the slides are CE marked and supplied with a recommended use-by date and batch number for comprehensive information and traceability. Available from manufacturer Marienfeld, they are packed 100 pieces per plastic box and 2000 pieces per outer carton. These orange-field adhesive slides are well suited to histology and pathology laboratories that require consistent adhesion, standardised glass dimensions and clear colour-coded labelling during routine and specialised microscopic work.

Questions about Microscope slides HistoBond® +S orange, 100/box
What is this article?
Microscope slides HistoBond® +S orange, 100/box is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.
A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
