Description
HistoBond® +S yellow microscope slides are adhesive glass slides for reliable attachment of tissue sections in histology and pathology. Measuring approximately 76 × 26 × 1 mm, they feature 90° ground edges and a yellow writing field at one end for clear specimen identification. These slides from manufacturer Marienfeld have a silanized surface with a higher charge density than the standard HistoBond® + range, which substantially increases adhesion between the slide and the tissue section. They retain all the proven properties of the HistoBond® + series while delivering enhanced bonding performance for demanding workflows. Intended for applications in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/746 on in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), they carry the CE mark and include a recommended use-by date together with a batch number to support comprehensive information and full traceability. Packed 100 pieces per plastic box and 2 000 pieces per outer carton, they are well suited to routine and specialised tissue-section work where secure section retention is essential.

Questions about Microscope slides HistoBond® +S yellow, 100/box
What is this article?
Microscope slides HistoBond® +S yellow, 100/box is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.
A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
