Description

UniMark® orange microscope slides are standard glass slides with an orange marking field, cut edges and approximate dimensions of 76 × 26 × 1 mm. Designed for routine microscopy and laboratory workflows, they support applications in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/746 on in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR). Each slide carries the CE mark together with a recommended use-by date and batch number, enabling clear identification and full traceability throughout the laboratory process. Supplied by manufacturer Marienfeld, the slides are packed in boxes of 50 pieces; 2,500 pieces form an outer carton that is sealed in a waterproof aluminium bag for protected storage and transport. The cut-edge finish provides a practical, economical format suitable for general histological, cytological and educational use where reliable specimen mounting and straightforward labelling are required. The coloured writing area accepts common laboratory markers and pencils, helping to organise samples efficiently in high-throughput environments.

Questions about Microscope slides UniMark® orange, cut edges

What is this article?

Microscope slides UniMark® orange, cut edges is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
