Description
Microscope slides UniMark® orange with ground edges are laboratory glass slides measuring approximately 76 × 26 × 1 mm for reliable specimen mounting and microscopy. An orange writing field on each slide offers a durable surface for clear sample labelling and identification throughout the workflow. Edges are ground at 90° and corners are ground with a 45° bevel, improving handling safety and limiting edge damage during preparation and transport. Designed for applications according to EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), the slides carry the CE mark together with a recommended expiry date and batch number for full information and traceability. From manufacturer Marienfeld, they are packed in boxes of 50 pieces, with 2,500 pieces per outer carton; the outer carton is sealed in a waterproof aluminium bag for added protection. These slides suit histology, cytology and routine diagnostic microscopy where consistent format, marked identification and protected bulk packaging are important.

Questions about Microscope slides UniMark® orange, ground edges
What is this article?
Microscope slides UniMark® orange, ground edges is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.
A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
