Description

Microscope slides with reaction fields provide three circular reaction zones of 10 mm diameter together with a white colour mask for clear visual separation of sample areas. Each slide carries a 20 mm frosted edge on one side, enabling secure labelling during routine laboratory handling. Packed in boxes of 50 pieces and offered with a minimum order quantity of 200 pieces, the slides are manufactured to order by Marienfeld so that freshly produced glass is always supplied. They are intended for applications conforming to EU Regulation 2017/746 on in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), bear the CE mark, and are supplied with a recommended expiry date and batch number to support complete information and traceability. Because of the wide range of available masks and the limited shelf life of the product, production is order-related; any minor shortfall or excess relative to the ordered quantity must be accepted. These slides are well suited to diagnostic and research workflows that require defined, reproducible reaction fields on a standard microscope slide format.

This article is part of Microscope slides & cover glasses, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about Microscope slides with reaction wells

What is this article?

Microscope slides with reaction wells is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
