Description

Video microscope KERN OIV 901 is an axial-optics complete solution developed to optimise digital stereo microscopy with direct, uncomplicated sample display on screen. Standard LED ring incident illumination ensures optimal lighting of the specimen. Excellent optics deliver continuously sharp imaging throughout the zoom range of 0,7× to 4,5×. The eyepiece-free microscope’s 5.0 Megapixel camera offers high colour fidelity and smooth live observation on the HD monitor. The high-quality hardened-glass display is easy to clean thanks to its edgeless design. An integrated universal stand with articulated arm enables flexible work with diverse samples and larger working distances; the microscope can also be swung aside to free bench space. The clamp fixture secures the stand simply to a table edge. Intuitive software and a wireless USB mouse, both included, allow easy digital editing and storage of results. HDMI supports a second monitor for parallel live viewing, and USB connection enables PC viewing with measurement functions via downloadable software. Zoom wheels with integrated click-stop provide precise magnification steps and aid software calibration. The unit (Kern) offers HDMI, two USB 2.0 ports and a Micro-SD slot, and includes a dust cover, 32 GB USB stick, wireless mouse and multilingual instructions (DE, EN, FR, IT, RU, JA, ZH).

Questions about Video microscope OIV 901 (0,7 x - 4,5 x,, LED)

What is this article?

Video microscope OIV 901 (0,7 x - 4,5 x,, LED) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in Digital & USB microscopes, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A digital or USB microscope is a camera with optics, useful for inspection and for a quick shared image. It does not replace a compound microscope when the method needs a stated numerical aperture and a fluorescence filter. Magnification claims on these are often a screen magnification, not an optical one.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
