Description

InLab Hydrofluoric is a pH electrode developed for samples that contain hydrofluoric acid (HF). The sensor is built with a glass shaft measuring 12 mm in diameter and 120 mm in length, fitted with an S7 screw head and a ceramic diaphragm. An ARGENTHAL™ reference system with silver-ion barrier supports stable potential in demanding acidic matrices. The electrode covers a pH range of 1 to 11 and a temperature range of 0 °C to 100 °C, matching typical laboratory conditions for HF-bearing process or analytical samples. Each piece is supplied together with 25 ml of reference electrolyte (3 mol/L KCl), allowing immediate installation or routine maintenance. Net and gross weight are both 0,149 kg, keeping the sensor convenient for handheld or stand-mounted use. Provided by manufacturer Mettler-Toledo OnLine and originating from Switzerland, InLab Hydrofluoric addresses laboratories that must measure pH in hydrofluoric-acid-containing media while remaining within the familiar InLab mechanical and connection standards used across multi-parameter electrode fleets.

Questions about pH electrode InLab Hydrofluoric

What is this article?

pH electrode InLab Hydrofluoric is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Mettler-Toledo OnLine for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
