Description

InLab Science is a pH electrode designed for use with slurries and emulsions. It features a glass shaft of 12 mm diameter and 120 mm length with an S7 screw head for connection to compatible laboratory meters. A movable ground-joint diaphragm and an ARGENTHAL™ reference system with silver ion barrier support stable contact in challenging sample matrices. An integrated temperature sensor is included. The electrode covers a pH range of 0 to 12 and a temperature range of 0 to 100 °C. Each unit is supplied with 25 ml of reference electrolyte (3 mol/L KCl). This laboratory pH electrode from manufacturer Mettler-Toledo OnLine is intended for samples where fixed diaphragms may foul or respond poorly, such as viscous or multiphase media. It is offered as 1 piece with a net weight of 0,149 kg. The InLab Science electrode combines a compact glass body, movable ground-joint junction and protected ARGENTHAL™ reference for reliable pH work on slurries, emulsions and similar demanding sample types in research and quality-control laboratories.

Questions about pH electrode InLab Science

What is this article?

pH electrode InLab Science is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Mettler-Toledo OnLine for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
