PH8500-SA is a portable meter for determining pH, ORP (electrode available separately, e.g. 301Pt-C) and temperature, designed for precise, reliable work with strongly basic or alkaline solutions up to 14 pH. The included LabSen® 843 combined pH/temperature electrode uses a special HA glass membrane that minimises alkaline error at high pH and can be used at temperatures up to 130 °C, so it is also suitable for high-temperature samples. A protective silicone sleeve gives a secure grip and impact resistance; the housing is water- and dust-tight to IP57, making the unit well suited to field use in demanding environments. From manufacturer APERA Instruments, the meter provides GLP data management with storage for up to 500 data groups and USB connection to a PC for data readout or real-time logging. A fold-out stand supports comfortable bench use, while 1- to 3-point calibration, a large illuminated LCD showing measured value and temperature together, and self-diagnosis aid routine operation. Measuring ranges cover pH −2,00 to 16,00 (resolution 0,1/0,01; accuracy ±0,01 pH ±1 digit), mV ±2000 and temperature 0 to 100 °C. Power is from three AA batteries or USB 5 V.
