Description
Portable pH/°C meter HI99131 is a waterproof handheld instrument intended for pH and temperature measurements in electroplating baths. It is supplied with the robust stainless-steel HI629113 electrode, which features a flat contact sensor and annular PTFE diaphragm designed to limit clogging by dissolved solids, plus a 1 m cable and Quick-DIN connector. pH covers −2,00 to 16,00 at 0,01 resolution with ±0,02 accuracy; automatic one- or two-point calibration uses standard buffer sets. Temperature is measured from −5,0 to 105,0 °C with automatic compensation. The multilevel LCD shows key readings at a glance, and on-screen electrode status indicates whether the sensor is still performing correctly. An IP67-rated housing from manufacturer Hanna Instruments protects the electronics against water and dust in demanding process environments. Simple two-button operation, three 1,5 V AAA batteries for about 1400 hours of continuous use, and selectable auto-off support practical daily handling. Delivery includes starter calibration solutions, cleaning solution, batteries, instruction manual and quality certificate in a sturdy carrying case. Meter dimensions are 154 × 63 × 30 mm; weight is 196 g.

Questions about Plating pH Portable Meter
What is this article?
Plating pH Portable Meter is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
Which category should I open next?
