Description
RCT basic Synthesis Solution 1000 is a complete magnetic stirrer with heating system designed for safe synthesis in 1000 ml round-bottom flasks. Dedicated synthesis blocks substantially reduce the hazard potential compared with traditional oil baths while simplifying flask handling and cleaning, thereby supporting cost-efficient laboratory operation. The package contains all components required for synthesis: a flask carrier for 1000 ml round-bottom flasks, a stand rod, two cross sleeves, a universal clamp for secure flask fixation, a holding rod for temperature-sensor positioning, and elliptical magnetic stirring bars that match the curvature of the round-bottom flask. Manufactured from solid anodised aluminium, the synthesis attachment withstands temperatures up to 300 °C. An optional additional stand rod can be attached to the second receptacle of the RCT basic unit to hold a reflux condenser safely in place. This integrated system solution from manufacturer IKA delivers a compact, oil-bath-free platform for larger-scale laboratory synthesis workflows.
This article is part of Magnetic stirrers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about RCT basic Synthesis Solution 1000, Magnetic stirrer with heating
What is this article?
RCT basic Synthesis Solution 1000, Magnetic stirrer with heating is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Magnetic stirrers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A magnetic stirrer is the motor and the plate under the flask. Many also heat. The stirring capacity is the litres of a water-like liquid it can turn, and a viscous liquid defeats a rating that was measured on water.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
Which category should I open next?
The category is Stirring, shaking & mixing. The sub-category is Magnetic stirrers. The catalogue is Lab instruments.
Shelves beside this one are Magnetic stirring bars, Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, Stirring & mixing accessories, Homogenisers & dispersers, Shakers, rockers & rotators, Overhead stirrers and Vortex mixers.
What should I check before I order?
When this page shows a safety data sheet, use that manufacturer file. Hazard text does not belong in the sales description. For a pack size, a grade or a certificate that is not on the page, send a quote request or contact the team.
