The standard heating mantle PILZ® -Classic-Line- G2 is a laboratory heating mantle for 250 ml round-bottom flasks with a flask diameter of 85 mm. It operates at 230 VAC with a rated power of 200 W and supports a maximum permissible operating temperature of 450 °C. A hand-crocheted heating body of glass silk provides close contact and efficient heat transfer to the flask wall. Two heating zones are managed by a series-parallel rotary switch that selects OFF, 25 %, 50 % or 100 % power: 25 % places zones 1 and 2 in series, 50 % energises the lower zone only, and 100 % runs both zones in parallel. The unit includes a detachable plug connection with a 0,50 m cable and a personal-protection plug with residual-current (FI) function plus a Schuko type E/F mains cable of 1,00 m. Net weight is 1,2 kg (gross 1,34 kg).
