Heating cable PILZ® WBG glass silk insulated delivers 375 W for laboratory, pilot-plant and industrial duties that need fast heat-up or elevated temperatures through high power concentration. Specific output is 250 W/m over a heated length of 1,5 m, with a maximum operating temperature of 400 °C. Two parallel heating conductors are insulated with glass silk, protected by a nickel braid and finished with a flexible glass silk outer braid; the cable is not moisture-protected. Dimensions are 35 × 5,0 mm and the minimum bend radius is greater than 15 mm, supporting flexible routing around process equipment. A 0,4 m factory-fitted connection lead is provided for 230 V AC supply. The cable from manufacturer Winkler must always be operated with a temperature controller. High specific power requires good thermal contact to the object; heating cable sections must not overlap or touch directly, and heater surface temperature remains higher than the workpiece temperature during operation. Benefits include constant power per metre, high allowable operating temperature, extreme flexibility, simple mounting and economical installation for fixed-resistance heating tasks.
