Description
Heating tape PILZ® WBS is a silicone-insulated flexible heating band with protective conductor braid for laboratory, pilot-plant and industrial use where rapid heat-up or elevated temperatures are required. The tape provides a constant specific power of 100 W/m and a total rated power of 1570 W over a length of 16,0 m at 230 VAC, with a maximum operating temperature of 200 °C. Construction comprises four heating conductors, silicone insulation and an outer braid of tinned copper wires for moisture protection and mechanical strength. Cross-section is 13,0 × 5,0 mm with a minimum bending radius greater than 9 mm, giving extreme flexibility and simple mounting around pipes, vessels or apparatus. A factory-fitted 1,5 m connection lead makes the tape ready for mains connection. Operation together with a temperature controller is always recommended; the tape must not be overlapped or laid in direct self-contact, and surface temperature of the heater exceeds that of the heated object. This PILZ® WBS heating tape from manufacturer Winkler combines high power density, high temperature capability and cost-effective installation for demanding thermal tasks.

Questions about Heating tape PILZ® WBS silicone insulated 1.570W, length 16,0m, Tmax. 20
What is this article?
Heating tape PILZ® WBS silicone insulated 1.570W, length 16,0m, Tmax. 20 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
