Description

Heating tape PILZ® WBS silicone-insulated is a flexible heating band rated at 200 W with a maximum operating temperature of 200 °C. Silicone insulation with a protective earth braid of tinned copper wires encloses four heating conductors, providing a specific power of 50 W/m over a length of 4,0 m. Cross-section measures 13,0 × 5,0 mm with a minimum bend radius greater than 9 mm, enabling easy mounting on pipes, vessels and laboratory apparatus. Moisture-protected build and a factory-fitted 1,5 m connection lead for 230 VAC operation make the tape suitable for laboratory, technical centre and industrial environments that need fast heat-up or higher process temperatures. Constant high power per metre requires good thermal contact with the object; heating tape must not be laid overlapping or in direct self-contact, and the heater surface runs hotter than the workpiece when energised. Operation together with a temperature controller is always recommended for fixed-resistance heating tapes. This PILZ® WBS model from manufacturer Winkler is supplied as one piece for flexible, economical heating applications.

Questions about Heating tape PILZ® WBS silicone insulated 200W, length 4,0m, Tmax. 200°C

What is this article?

Heating tape PILZ® WBS silicone insulated 200W, length 4,0m, Tmax. 200°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
