Description
Fabric hose with 8 mm internal diameter is a flexible EPDM temperature-control hose for laboratory and process fluid lines in the working range −40 °C to +120 °C. The black EPDM construction has a wall thickness of 5 mm, an outer diameter of 13 mm and a bend radius of 50 mm, allowing compact routing around equipment. Ends are supplied open for cutting and fitting to the required connection hardware. Maximum pressure at 20 °C is 20 bar. Length is variable and the product is offered by the metre, so runs can be matched to the installation. From manufacturer Julabo, this fabric hose is suited to recirculating thermostats, chillers and general temperature-control loops where a reinforced elastomer line with defined bore and pressure rating is needed. Net weight is 0,250 kg per supplied unit length.
This article is part of PVC, PTFE & other tubing, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about Reinforced tubing 8 mm inner dia., (-40...+120 °C), per meter
What is this article?
Reinforced tubing 8 mm inner dia., (-40...+120 °C), per meter is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Julabo for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
