Description

PH60S-E replacement pH electrode is designed for the PH60 series of pocket meters and installs without tools on the PH60, PH60F, PH60S and PC60 models. Its pointed LabSen glass membrane is intended for piercing soft or semi-solid samples such as meat, cheese and similar matrices. The electrode incorporates an integrated temperature sensor and a durable double-junction open-diaphragm design with polymer gel KCl electrolyte and Ag/AgCl reference. From manufacturer APERA Instruments, the probe supports a pH measuring range of 0 to 14, while complementary specifications list −2,00 to 16,00. Operating temperature is 0 to 50 °C via a 30 kΩ thermistor. The polycarbonate housing measures 140×50×60 mm and the electrode weighs 70 g. This spear-tip sensor enables reliable pH measurements in food and other semi-solid applications where conventional bulb electrodes are impractical. A six-month manufacturer warranty covers the electrode.

Questions about PH60S-E spear pH spare electrode

What is this article?

PH60S-E spear pH spare electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
