Description
Standard heating mantle PILZ® -Classic-Line- G2 is built for round-bottom flasks of 6000 ml (Ø 236 mm) and operates at 230 VAC with a rated power of 1400 W. The maximum permissible operating temperature is 450 °C. A hand-crocheted heating body of glass silk provides close contact and efficient heat transfer to the flask wall. Two heating zones are controlled by a series-parallel rotary switch with selectable levels OFF, 25 %, 50 % and 100 %: at 25 % zones 1 and 2 run in series, at 50 % only the lower zone is active, and at 100 % both zones operate in parallel. The mantle includes a bottom opening of Ø 62 mm and a detachable plug connection with a 0,50 m cable. A personal protection plug with residual-current (FI) function and a Schuko type E/F mains lead of 1,00 m complete the electrical set-up. Net weight is 3,5 kg (gross weight 3,8 kg). This Classic-Line unit from manufacturer Winkler suits controlled heating of large round flasks in laboratory synthesis and distillation work.

Questions about Heating mantle PILZ® -Classic-Line- G2 6.000ml 230V 1.400W Tm
What is this article?
Heating mantle PILZ® -Classic-Line- G2 6.000ml 230V 1.400W Tm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
