Standard heating mantle PILZ® -Classic-Line- G2H is a high-power mantle for 6,000 ml round-bottom flasks with a flask diameter of 236 mm. Rated at 2,500 W and 230 VAC, it permits a maximum operating temperature of 900 °C, extending the capability of the related G2 series while remaining constructionally equivalent. A hand-crocheted glass-silk heating body provides optimal heat transfer to the flask wall. Two heating zones are selected with a series-parallel rotary switch offering OFF, 25 %, 50 % and 100 % power: 25 % connects zones 1 and 2 in series, 50 % energises the lower zone only, and 100 % runs both zones in parallel. The mantle includes a bottom opening of Ø 62 mm, a detachable plug connection on a 0,50 m cable, and a personnel-protection plug with residual-current (FI) function plus a Schuko type E/F mains cable of 1,00 m length. Net weight is 3,5 kg and gross weight 3,8 kg.
