Description

7801 Na+ electrode is an ion-selective laboratory electrode intended for the determination of sodium ion activity in aqueous samples. It covers the measuring range 1 to 7 pNa, corresponding to approximately 10⁻¹ to 10⁻⁷ mol/l sodium. Recommended operating temperature lies between 15 and 45 °C. The electrode is designed for use with the matching reference electrode 6212 to complete the measuring cell. Constructed with a glass shaft of 12 mm diameter and 145 mm length, it connects via a cable fitted with a standard BNC plug. This sodium-selective electrode from manufacturer APERA Instruments supports routine sodium monitoring in research, water analysis and quality-control laboratories. It is supplied as a single piece and forms part of a modular electrode system for selective ion measurements where reliable Na+ response is required.

Questions about 7801, Low Na+ electrode

What is this article?

7801, Low Na+ electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
