Description

CHROMABOND Flash DL 4 empty columns are polypropylene flash Direct Load cartridges intended for solid sample application in laboratory flash chromatography. Each empty column provides a volume of 8 mL, suitable for approximately 4 g of silica gel or 3 g of diatomaceous earth (kieselguhr), giving users a practical format for packing and loading solids directly onto the cartridge bed.

This article is part of SPE cartridges & columns, in SPE & sample preparation.

The housing is made of PP and is supplied with three PE filter elements: one PE filter element is already inserted, and two further elements are included for flexible packing setups. Inlet and outlet connections use a female Luer-Lock and a male Luer-Lock respectively, supporting straightforward coupling to common flash chromatography hardware. Packaged as 50 pieces and available from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, these empty Direct Load cartridges suit method development, preparative purification and fractionation workflows where controlled solid-phase sample introduction and reproducible cartridge geometry are required. They belong to the CHROMABOND Flash Direct Load series for routine laboratory solid-loading applications.

Questions about Chromab. Flash DL 4, empty columns

What is this article?

Chromab. Flash DL 4, empty columns is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in SPE cartridges & columns, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

An SPE cartridge holds a bed of sorbent. Bed mass, sorbent chemistry and volume are the specification. A 100 mg C18 cartridge and a 1 g C18 cartridge take different sample loads and different elution volumes. The method names all three.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
