Vacuum is applied through a side arm that accepts a glass or replaceable plastic olive, while the large neck opening holds a rubber adapter together with a filter funnel. Produced from borosilicate glass 3.3 by manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, these DURAN® flasks comply with the provisions of the Equipment and Product Safety Act and feature a permanently fired white enamel marking for long-term legibility.
