Description

EC60 Premium conductivity pocket meter is a reliable handheld instrument for conductivity, TDS, salinity and temperature measurements across laboratory and field applications. Its brush-resistant platinum black (BPB) electrode delivers high accuracy and stability. Conductivity is measured from 0 to 199,9 μS/cm, 200,0 to 1999 μS/cm and 2 to 20,00 mS/cm with resolutions of 0,1/1/10 μS/cm and ±1 % F.S. accuracy; automatic temperature compensation operates from 0 to 50 °C. TDS covers 0,1 ppm to 10,00 ppt (factor 0,40–1,00) and salinity 0 to 10,00 ppt. Temperature range is 0 to 50 °C at 0,1 °C resolution and ±0,5 °C accuracy. Simple calibration with automatic recognition, a large dual-colour LCD (blue measurement / green calibration) and a replaceable EC60-E electrode support efficient daily use. The IP67 housing is waterproof and buoyant; four AAA batteries provide up to 1000 hours of operation. Compact size is 40 × 40 × 178 mm at 133 g net weight. The complete kit from manufacturer APERA Instruments includes calibration solutions (1413 μS/cm and 12,88 mS/cm), vials, batteries, lanyard and carrying case for immediate deployment.

Questions about EC60 Premium Conductivity Pocket Meter

What is this article?

EC60 Premium Conductivity Pocket Meter is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Conductivity meters & cells, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A conductivity meter and its cell measure how well a solution carries current. The cell constant is the geometry that converts conductance to conductivity, and it is calibrated with a standard. Temperature compensation matters because conductivity rises with temperature.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
