Description
GS4-E pH/conductivity electrode for GroStar GS4 is the combined replacement electrode for the GroStar™ GS4 pH and conductivity meter. It simultaneously measures pH, electrical conductivity (EC, 500 ppm, 700 ppm) and temperature. The pH channel uses a lithium glass membrane with double diaphragm and Ag/AgCl reference plus gel KCl electrolyte, ensuring durable and precise pH readings from 0 to 14. The conductivity channel employs a titanium-alloy sensor with cell constant K=1 for accurate measurements in the range 0 to 10 mS/cm. An integrated 30 kΩ thermistor covers temperature from 0 to 50 °C. Housed in a compact polycarbonate body measuring 75 × 35 × 35 mm, the electrode attaches rapidly without tools. Compatible exclusively with the GroStar™ GS4 instrument from manufacturer APERA Instruments, it is suited to laboratory and grow-media applications and is backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty.

Questions about GS4-E pH/Conductivity Electrode for GroStar GS4
What is this article?
GS4-E pH/Conductivity Electrode for GroStar GS4 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Conductivity meters & cells, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A conductivity meter and its cell measure how well a solution carries current. The cell constant is the geometry that converts conductance to conductivity, and it is calibrated with a standard. Temperature compensation matters because conductivity rises with temperature.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
