Description
Large cuvette type 402.013-OG is a precision cell made from optical glass for spectroscopy and turbidity measurements, covering the wavelength range from 360 nm to 2500 nm. It offers a path length of 25 × 25 mm, a filling volume of 30,000 µl and a clear marking at 25 ml, and is supplied without a lid. Selected optical glass provides excellent transmission greater than 80 % for exact measurement results. The cells are thermally bonded rather than glued, giving high resistance to temperatures and chemicals and preventing unwanted leakage of liquids. Chamfered edges enable safe, comfortable handling while minimising the risk of chipping. Produced entirely in Germany by manufacturer Hellma to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 standards, these cuvettes meet high optical requirements and can be cleaned and reused for long-term sustainable laboratory use. High manufacturing precision ensures continuously reproducible results. Nominal volume is 0,025 l; net weight is 0,0532 kg. Ideal for demanding analytical work where optical quality and chemical durability are essential.

Questions about large cells, 402.013
What is this article?
large cells, 402.013 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
