Description
Macro cuvette type 100-OS is a precision spectroscopy cell made from optical special glass for the wavelength range 320 nm to 2500 nm. With a path length of 40 mm, a nominal fill volume of 14 ml (14,000 µl) and a PTFE fold lid, it achieves transmission greater than 80 % for reliable photometric measurements. Hellma precision cuvettes are manufactured entirely in Germany and are compatible with all common spectrophotometers. High path-length accuracy and parallelism ensure continuously reproducible results in quantitative work. Thermally bonded construction instead of adhesive bonding gives strong resistance to temperature and chemicals and reduces the risk of sample leakage. Selected optical special glass provides excellent transmission performance, while bevelled edges support safe, comfortable handling and minimise chipping. The cells can be cleaned and reused over long service lives, offering a sustainable alternative to disposable formats. Production is carried out according to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets high optical laboratory standards.

Questions about macro cell, 100
What is this article?
macro cell, 100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
