Description
Post Extension Kit is a laboratory accessory for securing additional tube racks on high-performance and mini vortex mixers. High-performance vortex mixers include a holder for extra racks, while mini vortex mixers require a dedicated holder for this purpose. Six racks are available for multi-tube vortex mixers covering tube diameters from 12 to 29 mm. Foam inserts on mini vortex mixers accommodate one microplate; microplate vortex mixers hold up to two plates. High-performance units support up to eight microplates when combined with four plate holders and the stackable four-plate holder. The components attach magnetically to mini or high-performance series vortex mixers, enabling hands-free mixing of individual tubes. They are not intended for fixed-speed mini vortex mixers. This versatile holder assortment from manufacturer Ohaus supports a wide range of shaking applications in the laboratory. The kit is supplied as one set with net and gross weight of 0,9 kg each. Packaging measures 0,91 m depth, 0,076 m width and 0,076 m height for a volume of 0,005 m³. Country of origin is the USA and the product type is miscellaneous without display devices.

Questions about Post Extension Kit
What is this article?
Post Extension Kit is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ohaus for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring & mixing accessories, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
Stirring accessories are the bosses, the retort clamps and the spare knobs that hold an overhead stirrer over the vessel. The stand has to carry the motor's mass, not only the flask's.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
