Description

PR 32 propeller stirrer with guide ring (V4A) is a stainless-steel laboratory impeller engineered for solutions, emulsions and suspensions. Its blade geometry is matched to vessels with an ideal diameter of 113–225 mm, bottom clearance of 23–45 mm, fill height of 113–225 mm and working volumes from 1.100 to 8,900 ml. The complete assembly measures 400 mm in length and uses an 8 mm diameter stirring shaft for secure chucking in overhead stirrers. Fabricated entirely from V4A stainless steel, the unit offers mechanical stability and broad chemical resistance for daily laboratory service. The integrated guide ring helps maintain a controlled flow pattern during axial mixing. This propeller stirrer from manufacturer Heidolph is supplied as a single piece and supports homogeneous agitation across the recommended vessel range. It is well suited to preparative, process-development and quality-control workflows that require reliable mixing of low- to medium-viscosity media. Compact packaging and a net weight of 0,200 kg facilitate storage and handling on the bench.

Questions about PR 32 Ringed Propeller (V4A)

What is this article?

PR 32 Ringed Propeller (V4A) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
