SONOPULS MS 2.0 titanium sonotrode is a micro tip accessory that transfers mechanical oscillations into the sample during ultrasonic homogenisation. With a tip diameter of 2 mm it enables high-amplitude sonication of small volumes, delivering particularly intensive ultrasonic action. The sonotrode is thermally stable, autoclavable and resistant to corrosive media. Sample volume, vessel diameter and the desired amplitude determine the appropriate device and sonotrode type; higher amplitude produces more intensive treatment. Connection is made to stepped or booster horns. Manufactured from the titanium alloy TiAl6V4 (3.7165) by Bandelin, all such sonotrodes combine mechanical durability with chemical resistance. Micro tips feature an especially thin working end that concentrates ultrasonic energy for limited sample volumes.
