Temperature probe with insertion tip, NTC is designed for accurate temperature measurements in pasty and semi-solid media as well as in liquids and air. The NTC sensor element delivers precise readings with an accuracy of up to ±0,2 °C over the measuring range from −40 °C to +125 °C. A thin flat-ribbon cable of 2 m length can be passed through narrow openings such as door gaps or refrigerator seals. With protection class IP54 the probe is splash-water protected. The response time t99 of 8 seconds refers to measurements in moving water at +60 °C; response is longer in still liquids, pastes or air. For air measurements the response factor is typically 40 to 60 times higher, which can be advantageous when short temperature peaks should be largely ignored, for example inside a refrigerator. Supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Testo, this insertion probe is a versatile choice for laboratory, cold-chain and process temperature monitoring where a robust NTC sensor with slim cable routing is required.
