Description
Thin humidity probe, Ø 4 mm, is designed for equilibrium moisture measurement inside material boreholes where a minimal opening diameter is essential. The slender 4 mm probe tube is connected to a compatible measuring instrument and should be protected from dirt by a PTFE cap during use; the borehole can be sealed simply with adhesive putty. From the measured equilibrium humidity the connected instrument (testo 635) automatically calculates material moisture in percent and shows the result on the display. Material-moisture calculation is available for concrete, high-insulation brick, solid brick, hardwood, softwood, aerated concrete, chipboard, calcium-sulphate flowing screed, cement flowing screed and sand-lime brick. This compact probe from manufacturer Testo therefore supports non-destructive assessment of building and construction materials in laboratory and on-site moisture diagnostics. Its small diameter keeps drilling damage to a minimum while still delivering reliable humidity data for subsequent material-moisture conversion. The unit is supplied as a single piece and is intended for exclusive use with the matching Testo humidity and temperature meters. Net weight is 0,23 kg, making the probe easy to handle and transport for routine material-moisture surveys.

Questions about Thin humidity probe, Ø 4 mm, for, material moisture
What is this article?
Thin humidity probe, Ø 4 mm, for, material moisture is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.
A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
