Description

Two-necked flask, DURAN®, 1000 ml is a larger jointed round flask for laboratory reactions, distillations and multi-port process work. It provides a centre neck NS 29/32 together with an angled side neck NS 14/23, enabling simultaneous connection of condensers, dropping funnels, sensors or gas lines. The 1000 ml volume supports litre-scale preparative chemistry, solvent handling and longer reflux runs where an additional side port is essential. Fabricated from DURAN® glass and available from manufacturer Lenz, the flask is intended for standard ground-joint assemblies in research, development and teaching environments. Delivered as one piece with a weight of 0,325 kg, it fits directly onto common NS 29/32 and NS 14/23 components. The angled side neck keeps attached glassware clear of the central axis, which helps when the flask sits in a heating mantle or on a crowded stand. This DURAN® two-necked flask offers a practical 1000 ml format with clearly specified joint geometry for everyday laboratory glassware setups.

Questions about Two-necked flask, DURAN®, 1000 ml, angled side neck 14/23, centre 29/32

What is this article?

Two-necked flask, DURAN®, 1000 ml, angled side neck 14/23, centre 29/32 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Lenz for laboratory use. It sits in Round-bottom flasks, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A round-bottom flask is the heating flask of a distillation or a reflux. The curved wall takes the heat, and the ground neck connects to a still head or a condenser. The joint size, not only the volume, has to match the rest of the set.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
