Description

Glass set G1B NS 29/32 is a diagonal condenser assembly intended for all standard distillations and represents a cost-effective glassware option for rotary evaporator work. The set carries a transparent plastic coating under the Surlyn ® registered trademark and is suitable for a temperature range up to a maximum of 80 °C. Delivery includes one 1000 ml evaporating flask and one 1000 ml receiving flask. The standard ground joint is NS 29/32; the same configuration can also be supplied with NS 24/29 joints on request. A ventilation cap without ground-joint connections is provided for simple handling and grease-free evaporation, while an optional ventilation valve offering a precise redosing function is available separately. This glass set from manufacturer Heidolph is not compatible with the automatic distillation programme Dynamic AUTO accurate on Hei-VAP Expert or Ultimate Control models. Glass sets configured for Soxhlet extraction and for descending cooling systems can likewise be obtained on request. Net weight is 1,700 kg. The assembly supports routine laboratory distillations that require reliable condenser performance, straightforward assembly and a coated surface for added handling safety within the stated temperature limit.

Questions about Glassware G1B NS 29/32

What is this article?

Glassware G1B NS 29/32 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Distillation heads, adapters & columns, inside Distillation & extraction glassware, in Labware.

A still head, an adapter or a column is the glass between the boiling flask and the condenser. A Vigreux or packed column gives the vapour a surface so a closer-boiling mixture can separate. The joint sizes at both ends have to match the flask and the condenser.

Distillation separates liquids by boiling point. A condenser turns the vapour back into liquid: Liebig, coil and cold-finger shapes differ in how much cooling surface they offer. A still head and a column sit between the flask and the condenser. A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid again and again with the same solvent. Ground joints have a standard size, and the joint, not the flask, is what has to match. The pieces are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
